The number of street children could be as high as between 250,000 and 300,000 throughout Kenya, including 60,000 in Nairobi alone according to Consortium of Street Children of Kenya. Many of these children are sent by their parents to work or beg on the streets. Others are either orphaned or abandoned. The Affable Family is trying to solve this problem by raising funds to build an institution for accommodation, rehabilitation and education for street children in Nairobi, Kenya
