Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting the He4She project to train 890 men across Nigeria to end violence against women. Your support empowers men to challenge harmful norms, promote respect, and help create safer communities for women and girls.
In Nigeria, one in three women experiences physical or sexual violence, often from intimate partners, yet many cases go unreported due to stigma and fear. Cultural norms, economic stress, and limited education fuel abuse, while men are often left out of prevention efforts. Without engaging men directly, cycles of violence continue, affecting families and communities across generations.
This project provides workshops, peer-led campaigns, and discussions that equip men with non-violent conflict resolution skills and the ability to influence their peers positively. Participants become agents of change, spreading awareness, modeling respectful behavior, and intervening to prevent abuse before it occurs.
At this time, the donations received are not enough to begin implementation. However, we remain hopeful that with donor support, we can start training these men and create safer environments for women, breaking cycles of violence and fostering healthier communities.
Thank you for standing with women and supporting positive change.
With thanks,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
