Updates from Heal One World

By Mayuko Okai | Operations Manager

Open House
Open House

We had yet another eventful quarter here at Heal One World!

With the help of a wonderful summer intern, we had a second Open House in July, with Tai Chi, Meditation, Reiki, and Yoga. People in the neighborhood strolled by to say hi and learned about our great offerings! We also had many people volunteer, including high school students from Key Club. Open House has been a great opportunity for our teachers and students to come together, forming deeper connections. Classes have been going great with meditation and yoga in full force.

This quarter we put on an Intuitive Eating & Yoga workshop, the popular Yoga Nidra, and also hosted an 8-week yoga workshop series "Rooted." We also had a Korean Yoga class for 2 months, by a yoga teacher from South Korea - Nua. It was an honor to be able to serve the local Korean speaking community. We will be offering Yoga in Japanese and Prenatal Yoga this Fall.

We have a lot of dedicated hearlers among out volunteer yoga teachers. Whitney Martin is offering Cranialsacral Therapy and Daria Grigorieva is offering private energy healing. We are hearing some great outcomes from the people that take these services!

Upcoming is our annual Awareness Raising Fundraiser, the Awarenses Film Festival. Please come and support our organization and see films that make a difference in the world! Taking place September 27-October 7th at LA Live Regal Cinemas. See the line up here: awarenessfestival.org

Our Fresno location is working with the Veterans Admistration as well as St. Agnes Hospital and the free library classes resume in October. The location will be adding breathwork and dance therapy as well.

We look forward to our fall workshops to end the year strong!
