This project, led by the Deaf Welfare Awareness Foundation (DWAF) in Pakistan, will provide essential medical & healthcare services through free medical camps and doctor consultations for people with disabilities (PWDs), the Deaf, & underserved communities. By offering professional medical advice and treatment, we aim to improve access to healthcare, enhance well-being, and empower marginalized groups. The initiative will directly benefit hundreds, ensuring health equity in underserved regions.
In Pakistan, PWDs, including the Deaf, face severe healthcare challenges. Limited mobility, poor communication access, and a lack of accessible healthcare facilities prevent them from receiving necessary treatment. With over 3.3 million PWDs, many live in rural areas where healthcare is scarce, and specialized services are almost non-existent. These barriers result in neglect and poor health outcomes, highlighting a critical need for better healthcare accessibility and inclusion for PWDs.
This project, led by the Deaf Welfare Awareness Foundation (DWAF), will address healthcare barriers for PWDs and the Deaf community by organizing free medical camps with doctor consultations. These camps will provide essential healthcare services in underserved areas, overcoming mobility and communication challenges. By offering accessible medical support, we aim to improve health outcomes, increase awareness, and ensure that PWDs and the Deaf have equal access to vital healthcare resources.
This project, led by the Deaf Welfare Awareness Foundation (DWAF), will contribute to building a healthier, more inclusive society in Pakistan. By providing accessible healthcare services to PWDs & the Deaf community, the project will address health disparities, promote well-being,& empower marginalized groups. This initiative will foster a society where everyone, regardless of disability, has the opportunity to lead a healthy life, ultimately creating a more equitable and healthy nation.
