Since the launch of our psychosocial support program at Fundación Camino called "Healing Together: Adolescents and Caregivers" We have provided over 80 hours of psycho-therapeutic and emotional support to adolescent cancer patients and their caregivers. These interventions have been delivered through individual, group, and family sessions, addressing the complex emotional and psychological needs that arise during and after cancer treatment. Our approach is designed to create safe spaces for expression, healing, and mutual understanding between young patients and their families.
The program has been especially impactful for adolescents, a population that often faces unique emotional challenges while navigating a cancer diagnosis. By offering personalized accompaniment and therapeutic tools, we aim to foster emotional resilience, improve quality of life, and strengthen the support networks of both patients and their caregivers.
However, to ensure the continuity and growth of this essential initiative, we are in urgent need of additional financial support. Sustained funding would allow us to expand our reach, increase the number of sessions, and deepen the quality of care we can provide. With more resources, we can continue to walk alongside these families and offer them the support they deserve during one of the most difficult moments in their lives.
