By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project health, sanitation and food security in remote, upland villages. The impact of climate change is starting to be severely felt by local farmers and we are starting to engage in food production using climate-resilient food crops like sweet potato and other root crops. They are easily grown and can be grown in containers and empty sacks. We train farmers how to grow them and how to use organic matter present in their farms into high-grade fertilizer in order to lessen cost and use available resources without buying from commercial sources. This reporting period we have distributed planting materials to 200 farmers and these will increase in the coming months. Again thank you very much for your support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre
