Your Contribution, Making All the Difference

By Carolina Ospina | Project Leader

Thanks to your generosity, throughout the year 2023, we were able to care for the lives of thousands of patients at our hospital. We provided compassionate and high-quality care to those facing challenging illness processes, bringing hope and well-being to both our patients and their families. Your contribution has been instrumental in creating a positive impact on the lives of our elderly population.

With your donations and those of all our benefactors, we successfully acquired biomedical equipment and implemented improvements in the Burn Unit at Medellín Hospital. In 2023, approximately 933 adults received care in this unit. Our goal for 2024 is to expand its capacity by adding more beds to cater to critical patients. The Burn Unit at Medellín Hospital holds significant importance in the province, boasting over 35 years of experience in the comprehensive and rehabilitative care of burn patients.
Among the acquisitions made are an anesthesia machine, an electromyograph, two crash carts, and a cerebral monitor. Additionally, we conducted supportive activities, such as bingo games with adult patients and the distribution of gifts during the holiday season to all hospital patients.
Your contributions make new hopes possible. We encourage you to share our message and join our mission of compassionate and supportive care. Your involvement enables us to continue providing comprehensive support to those who need it the most.
"Because thanks to their care, I came back to life." Patient, San Vicente Foundation Hospital.
