From Istmina, Chocó, a small town at the Pacific Coast of Colombia, poor and afar from the big cities, there arrived to San Vicente Foundation Hospital young Santiago, whom at 10 years of age received an open heart surgery due to a major complication due to an infection. Santiago is deeply loved by his stepmother with whom he's lived since 2 years of age, and has been a key part in his quick recovery. Her love and support has been a major reason for him to succeed.
Santiago was very fortunate to receive a unique opportunity to save his heart and in turn, his life in a timely manner. Due to this, Santiago can still follow his dream of one day becoming a professional Football player.
With your donation, you can help us build the Child Unit of the Heart by the children of Colombia, so that more children just like Santiago can live and make their dreams come true.
