Dear all,
Another year is coming to an end, and we're happy to see that Mammadu is once again in excellent health and that our boys and girls have spent another year filled with personal growth, education, health, and so much fun together.
I'd like to begin this greeting by thanking you once again for allowing us to make Josia's dream come true in such a short time.
We discussed this just three months ago, when we launched a fundraiser to enable Josia to attend university in South Africa, as she had always dreamed. We hoped to reach our goal; we were confident we could do it, but finding ourselves saying "Thank you, we've reached our goal" after just three months fills our hearts with joy, pride, and gratitude.
Now all that's left is to wish our Josia the best, knowing that Mammadu will always be by his side in this new life adventure.
Like every November, we celebrated Mammadu's birthday, and the occasion was made even more special by the fact that our young people, now in university or already in the workforce, didn't want to miss it. And the words of our Petrus, who wrote an article about the day for us, shine through with all the gratitude and love the boys and girls carry in their hearts for Mammadu.
And there is no greater joy for us than those who draw strength from these words to move forward every day, convinced that they can give our boys and girls a better future.
And last but not least, the news we've all been waiting for: Mammadu is finally back online!!
In fact, our website www.mammadu.org has been active again for a few days now, completely revamped, with a new, modern, and attractive design.
Allow me, therefore, to express immense gratitude to our webmaster Bruno and the tireless Roberto and Agnes, who, working with great determination and immense love for Mammadu, have enabled the creation of a truly beautiful website.
Now it's our turn to fill it with new projects, new adventures, new boys and girls, new volunteers, in the certainty that, day after day, you will always be by our side to share this wonderful life experience called Mammadu.
Now that Mammadu has closed its doors for the Christmas holidays, our children will celebrate with their families in their home villages. They will reunite in early January for the start of the new school year.
A heartfelt thank you once again for your generous support of our activities. On behalf of the Board of Directors, all the children, and our precious staff, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
