Villlage clinics in Honduras involve a lot of desparate people. Some have never had healthcare before. Others complain about everything in the book because they want medicine in their house in case something happens before a provider shows up again. It is my favorite part of life in Honduras.
Mobile clinics provide heathcare in places no one will go. Mobile clinics provide care for people who can not walk to the daily clinic. Some people walk 8 hours for care at Clinica de Esperanza. Some are so far away, it is not possible to walk.
We did a clinic near the Tegucigalpa dump 48 hours ago. They call the village " the hole." And it is exactly that. No water or electricity and the odor of a very large dump looming when the wind is just right. Nearly everyone with respiratory ailments. I suppose the methane and carbon dioxide produced by decomposed waste is not lung friendly.
The people were grateful for the attention and help.
We are grateful for your support to buy medicine to do this service. Thank you.
