Hello everyone! Just when we thought we were making traction, the roof came down! The building that houses the Clinica de Esperanza in Santa Ana, Honduras is over 60 years old and made from adobe. (mud and straw). The rain came as soon as we took off the roof and brought down 3 walls, right off the bat.
We are working hard to repair the damage. My staff has not missed a beat. In a day we reloacated everything to safer ground, the garage, bodega, dormitory and my house. We continue to see patients in the part that still has a roof.
We have been told it will be at least a month before all the repairs can be made. Meanwhile we will keep working at providing healthcare, housing, clean water and jobs.
Walking Beside you,
