Imagine something coming to your city that would bring everyone out of the house to see or participate. In America this is no longer something that occurs very often. People are consumed with our own lives and issues and priorities. Here in Honduras when a something as small as a snow cone machine comes to a village, it is a village wide event.
In the small village of Aragua this happened a few weeks ago. Sponsored by a childrens ministry in Melbourne, Florida; where kids raised the funds for a snowcone machine. Seemingly a small thing but to a child who has no access to ice or anything remotely like a snow cone, this is huge for them. A village wide event occurs.
We can use this time to teach or sometimes just to love the local people and show them we care. The day was a great succes as time was used to show a movie, do crafts and feed them popcorn and snowcones.
Join us in this celebration of love and caring to the poor.
