The Clinica de Esperanza continues to work to provide people with health care and treatment so they can live productive lives and care for their families. Last month the medical director moved to Honduras to assist in the project. This clinic has functioned for 8 full years. The goal at present is to provide better care at the clinic. To accomplish this goal we need $1,200 a month for medications and $11,240 to purchase basic diagnostic equipment. It is very difficult to mke a accurate diagnosis without lab work, xrays, and basic testing for tuberculosis, Dengue, pregnancy, malaria and problems common in this area. All of the monies you have generously donated  to date has been used on medicine, vitamins, and food supplies.

Recently, we have discovered a trible of indigenous people living near the clinic. There are several indigenous tribes in Honduras. Inca, Mayan, Miskito , Grafuna, Paya, Tulupon, Linca and more. The government gives them the land but no water, electricity, schools, medicine or housing. It was a blessing to visit them with a group to do nutritional assessments to decide if the qualify for help. We have provided food and we will be providing health care. There are 45 families in the fenced in area. Here is a picture of a house, some of the kids and the only water supply.

They need a well with clean water, a school, electricity, housing and a bathroom. This may not sound like a health care issue. We do provide medications, antiparasitics, vitamins and food. Believe me, if I took away these basic needs from you, there would be serious health inmplications for you and your family.

Our desire is for these people to be educated so they will know how to take care of themsleves, and have a healthy enviornment and learn to grow their own food. These are just as important to their health as any measure we can take in the way of medicine.

Consider helping with this project.
