Dental care in a 3rd world country generally involves pulling a lot of rotton teeth. But those days are over. Now we will be able to provide dental care on a full time basis. Not only just the pulling of teeth but repair of problems and restorative dentistry.
For the past ten years we have invited a wonderful group Cadena de Amor to come and do dental clinics at the Clinica de Esperanza. It is very difficult and expensive for all involved as the clinic has no dental equipment or the proper tables required. A dental clinic required us to empty the entire clinic of heavy equipment and load dental equipment in the clinic. It also required the hope that it would not rain during this week.
We have just added a large room on the back porch to accomodate permanent equipment for dental care. A dentist from Texas donated 2 dental chairs, a compressor and autoclave. By January we should have the rooms set up and ready for dental care full time. We are currently saving to purchase dental supplies needed by the dentists.
Thank you for making this possible with your continued donations through global giving.
Sincerely,
gayle savage davidson
