Dear Donors,
We would like to share the latest updates on our commitment in the village of Sambwa, where, together with AMKA Onlus and the Institute of the Augustinian Sisters, we work every day to fight malnutrition and improve community health.
Recently, AMKA nutritionist and coordinator met with representatives of Pronanut and the Kafubu health zone. These meetings were very positive and led to an important collaboration: both entities will actively participate in the project, supporting the training of healthcare personnel and screening to prevent malnutrition.
BetweenLate April and early May, we will organize six training sessions. Some will be dedicated to healthcare personnel at a local hospital, while others will involve community representatives, key figures who connect the healthcare system with families in the area. During these sessions, the screening process will also begin to promptly identify and treat cases of malnutrition.
To carry out these activities and provide concrete support to children and their families, we need your help. With your contribution, we can purchase medicines and supplements to treat malnutrition and set up a dispensary withessential medical supplies. Additionally, we need kitchen suppliesto prepare nutritious meals and organize community cooking demonstrations, as well as tools to measure weight, height, and other key indicators to monitor the health of children and their mothers.
Every donation is a step toward a healthier and more dignified future for these communities. Thank you from our hearts for standing by our side in this mission: together, we can truly make a difference!
