Healthy food for 300 visually challenged children

Indian Association for the Blind (lAB) based in Madurai, South India, is a renowned not-for-profit organization working at the grassroots level for the education, employment and rehabilitation of people with visual challenges. It was established in 1985 by visually challenged activist Late Mr. S.M.A.Jinnah and a group of like-minded visually challenged people to provide comprehensive education, employment and rehabilitation opportunities for socio-economically disempowered visually challenged children and adults with a special focus on those from rural background.

Food is the most vital thing for the survival of human being. For a student, all the right diets should be given as it helps them to grow mentally and physically. Till now we have raised $9737 through this drive. Thanks to GlobalGiving and its donors for the generous gift.

As students need to eat healthy foods to achieve academic success, to experience proper growth and development and to prevent chronic disease, the philanthropists of GlobalGiving paved the way for us to provide such a healthy food to our students. A good lunch benefits a student by giving him the energy to remain alert during class time, so that our students can perform well in their exams.

As always, we, along with GlobalGiving, will do our best in reaching out to generous donors across the Globe and will strive to bring happiness on the face of each of our beneficiaries. We are glad to share with you the fact that this project has raised $9007 through 92 donations and this is without a doubt, due to the donations from the generous donors of the global giving. We are so grateful for your generosity in helping the visually challenged in need to access affordable food in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. Your gift makes a real difference in the lives of hungry individuals, and helps them gather around their tables for a wholesome meal. By way of this, they will be hale and healthy which will help them concentrate on their studies and increase their chances of achieving good results in their academics. “Helping Hands are better than Praying lips”.
