As winter settles over Gaza, the suffering of displaced families intensifies. The cold penetrates tents and overcrowded shelters where people lack the most basic necessities of life—no reliable electricity, no fuel, and no proper kitchens to prepare food. With severe food shortages and rising malnutrition, a warm meal becomes more than nourishment; it becomes a lifeline.
In response to these dire conditions, Saed Relief and Development launched a hot meal distribution project reaching the most vulnerable families across Gaza. Priority was given to households with children, widowed mothers, and elderly individuals who are unable to secure food on their own. The meals included cooked rice, chicken or vegetables, fresh bread when available, and portions of drinking water.
Field teams worked tirelessly to reach shelters, bomb-affected areas, and families who have lost all sources of income. Despite security challenges and the continuous disruption of roads, they successfully distributed thousands of hot meals—bringing warmth, relief, and a moment of comfort to people enduring unimaginable hardship.
These meals were not only sustenance but a heartfelt message that said: “You are not forgotten.”
Saed Relief and Development remains committed to providing hot meals throughout the winter, aiming to expand its reach and ensure that more families can face the cold season with dignity, strength, and hope.
