Amid much fanfare, our free clinic for treating Bamako’s 6,000 street children has opened. The official ribbon cutting and ceremony was held on Saturday, October 20, 2018. It was attended by dignitaries from throughout Mali, and covered on Mali TV. For this very poor country this has been a major development in supplying health care to some of the world’s most vulnerable children. Not only will we be serving the children of Bamako, but in December 5,000 children from throughout Mali will be coming to our facility.
We are very grateful to the generosity of our donors on GlobalGiving as well as to Rotary International for making this dream a reality. Your continued support will ensure that the clinic becomes a permanent place for Bamako’s street children to find life saving medical care, comfort and hope for their future.
