Thank you for your continued support of our Education Program. Because of your generosity, children in rural Zimbabwe are gaining access to quality education, technology, books, nutritious meals, and opportunities that help bridge the gap between rural and urban communities.
What We Accomplished Together
Growing Enrollment
We currently have 160 students enrolled, from ECD A and ECD B through Grade 2. The children continue to thrive in a safe and nurturing learning environment where they can learn, play, and grow.
Through our partnership with New England missionaries and friends of the Foundation, we shipped another 40-foot container of educational resources to Zimbabwe, including desks, chairs, tables, educational materials, and toys. We were also blessed to receive 20 bicycles, which have quickly become a favorite among the children.
Feeding Program
Our feeding program continues to provide porridge to students each school day. This important program helps improve attendance, concentration, and overall well-being.
Library and Computer Training
We are excited to share that we now have a library at our school. Access to books is helping students develop reading skills and a love for learning. In the photos, you can see the children enjoying time in the library.
With the installation of solar power, students are also receiving computer training. Many of our children are using computers for the first time and gaining valuable digital skills that will help prepare them for the future.
Investing in Quality Education
We conducted four teacher training workshops focused on lesson preparation and curriculum alignment to strengthen the quality of education we provide.
Our school team has also grown and now includes 8 teachers, a headmaster, vice headmaster, accountant, bursar, 3 cooks, 2 security guards, a cleaner, and a gardener.
School Expansion and Educational Resources
We have made significant progress on our fourth classroom block. The roofing and plastering have been completed, and we are now working toward the final stages of construction, including installing windows, doors, ceilings, and floor tiles.
We also received donations of computers, children's books, desks, chairs, and toys from New England Pentecostal Ministries (NEP) and friends of the Foundation. These resources are helping us create a richer learning environment for our students and move closer to our goal of providing quality education to rural children.
Our Biggest Challenge: Water
While we celebrate these accomplishments, our greatest challenge remains access to water.
We need to raise $15,000 to drill a 140-meter well that will provide a reliable source of clean water for our students, staff, and community. Access to water will improve sanitation, support our feeding program, and create a healthier learning environment for our children.
Thank You
As you can see from the photos, we have accomplished a great deal together. None of this would have been possible without your support.
Thank you for investing in the future of rural children in Zimbabwe and helping us create opportunities that will impact generations to come. Together, we are helping bridge the education gap and giving children the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Every book on the library shelf, every computer lesson, every bowl of porridge, every bicycle ride, and every brick laid on the new classroom block is possible because of supporters like you. Thank you for helping us transform lives and build brighter futures for the children of rural Zimbabwe.
With gratitude,
Thelma
