Most children with mental disability (autism and Down syndrome) in our region have no opportunity to visit school and university. That`s why they can`t get profession and become financially independent in the future. We will make special courses for 20 children from age 13 to 18, where they will get skills of seamstress, cleaner, cook and some other professions.
Right now we have about 200 teens from age 13 to 18 who don`t go to school. They get education at home (teachers came to them) or have family education. This happened than child has serious behavior problems. Real situation is so that after such education they can`t go to university and get profession. Also they have very low social skills, because during their schoolage they didn`t communicate with peers. Result is that their life is totally depend on welfare of their family members.
We have special 5 week course which will help this children get social skill which will help them in future job (how plan your time, how use public transport by yourself to go to work, how ask for help, how communicate correctly with different categories of people: colleagues, supervisors, customers). Also during this course children will have opportunity to try different professions. Specialists will support them and after course will advise which profession is the best for each child.
The project will help 20 children with autism and Down syndrome. They will get helpful for their future life skills. This experience give them chance to become independent. Thay could get a job and be useful for society. Quality of life in this families will raise. Parents will have opportunity to have their own life and be sure than their chid can take care about yourself.
