Relief and Resque charity foundation seeks to construct a permanent school facilities to improve access and quality of education in Wakiso district Uganda East Africa for the disadvantaged group of people including orphans, needy, HIV/AIDs positive persons and also offer second chance education to the drop outs and women in a bid to improve family and community livelihoods.
Children in Wakiso have been and continue to face a myriad of interrelated challenges in attaining quality education ranging from social, economic, protective and health. It is recognized that the many negative educational outcomes for children are a result of complex contextual factors such as poverty, cultural practices and gender inequalities; attitudes and behaviors of boys and men, parents, teachers and other community members; this project is aimed to benefit 2,000 disadvantaged children.
the overall objective of this project is to; construct a permanent school facility that will accommodate the disadvantaged children that will increase access to basic education ad skills. community sensitization on the advantages of taking their children to school and offering to the drop outs second chance to education services.
The project will increase on the number of disadvantaged children enrolled in school, reduced drop out rates in Wakiso District and increased number of school drop outs who are enrolled in a non formal education sector for skills development.
