Class of 2025 delivers strong matric results

By Paul Montgomery | Director of Marketing and Content Management

CH South Africa Class of 2025

For students across South Africa, the matric exam represents a defining milestone—the completion of 12 years of schooling and a critical determinant of access to higher education, training, and employment opportunities. The Christel House South Africa Class of 2025 met this milestone with exceptional success, achieving a 96.4% matric pass rate. Even more impressive, 70% of students earned a bachelor’s pass, qualifying them for admission to university degree programs—up from 64.4% in 2024. These results stand out in a national environment where 42% of young people ages 15–34 are not employed, attending school, or in a training program. For Christel House students, matric success is not an endpoint, but a bridge to further education and meaningful careers.

THE LONG-TERM IMPACT FOR THE GRADUATES

According to Dr. Ronald Fortune, Chief Academic Officer at Christel House South Africa, these outcomes are the result of intention and consistency. A rigorous academic curriculum, paired with a strong focus on character formation and career readiness, equips students to succeed well beyond graduation.

That approach continues to deliver long-term impact. Today, 97% of Christel House alumni are employed, pursuing further education, or doing both, a powerful indicator of what is possible when students are supported from classrooms to life. As the Class of 2025 celebrates this achievement, Christel House South Africa’s success reflects the collective efforts of students, educators, families, and supporters working together to build brighter futures.
