Dear Friends,
The year marked its beginning with the adaptation process for many of the children.
Since the children we care for are so young (up to three years old) settling into the CAIF takes time and varies for each child. Some adapt quickly and are happy to stay for up to four hours right from the start. For others, it takes a bit longer, sometimes weeks or even months, before they feel comfortable staying at the center and start to truly enjoy their time here.
This stage requires a lot of patience, affection, and creativity - both from our team and from the families. Many of the parents are young and experiencing this separation for the first time, which can make it difficult to let go and trust others with their children. That's why we focus on building strong, warm connections with both the children and their families.
Now, in May, we’re happy to share that the adaptation process is complete. The children are attending their full schedules (four or eight hours) and they’re now enjoying meals at the center as part of their daily routine.
Thank you for helping us make these important early steps possible. Your support continues to make a real difference in the lives of these children and their families.
Until next time!
