We are thrilled to share that we recently opened our third Early Childhood Care Center in Cerro, one of Montevideo’s most underserved neighborhoods. With this new center, Mensajeros de la Paz now supports 364 families annually in Uruguay.
The center operates in a purpose-built facility and offers daily care, as well as weekly workshops for parents to foster community connections and support early childhood development. These sessions, part of the Programa de Experiencias Oportunas (PEO), are led by a psychomotor specialist and focus on parenting, nutrition, and hygiene for children ages 0 to 2.
Our other two centers in Paso de la Arena and Jardines del Hipódromo continue to serve 138 and 118 families, respectively.
Thank you all so much for making this work possible. Your generosity helps us build safer, more nurturing environments for children and families who need it most in Uruguay.
