Heavy rainstorms in vulnerable communities across Ghana often destroy homes, roofs, schools, and personal belongings, leaving many families displaced and struggling to recover. Poor households are usually the hardest hit because they lack the resources needed to repair damaged homes and replace lost property. This project will provide emergency relief, shelter materials, and recovery support for 300 families affected by destructive rainstorms.
Severe rainstorms continue to damage homes and disrupt livelihoods in many communities across Ghana. Families lose roofing sheets, household items, food supplies, and other essentials during storms. Many affected households are forced to live in unsafe conditions because they cannot afford rebuilding materials or emergency support after disasters.
This project will provide roofing materials, emergency shelter support, household supplies, food aid, and recovery assistance for families affected by rainstorms. The project will also support vulnerable households with basic rebuilding materials and community awareness on disaster preparedness and safety.
This project will help 300 families rebuild safer homes, recover from disaster losses, and improve living conditions after rainstorms. It will strengthen community resilience, reduce disaster-related hardship, and help vulnerable families regain stability and security.
