Juventus-our star program-benefits low-income adolescent women to build their life project that promotes self-knowledge, an entrepreneurial mentality, and the strengthening of their academic and digital skills through one-on-one support - mentoring. For three years, young women are prepared to be beneficiaries of our scholarship system for technical and technological programs and IT certifications thanks to strategic alliances with various private universities and international IT companies
Poverty is the biggest barrier to accessing higher education and equality in Colombia. Only 4 out of 10 teenagers manage to enter university. More than 60% survive with precarious jobs. Through a donation you will help the Juventus Women's Cultural Association program so that young women can escape poverty traps, such as early sexuality, teenage pregnancies, substance use and behaviors that can be considered minor crimes, reflecting multidimensional problems (United Nations Population Fund,2017)
Girls attend classes 3xweekx3 years;thus they take advantage of their time, enhance their skills,and parents are not worried while they are working.The program covers three components: BE(self-knowledge,emotional management,soft skills),KNOW(Python programming,English,research skills,ecology and environment),DO(entrepreneurship,IT application,caring for the environment);we make difference through personalized mentoring so each young person has a meaningful life project appropriate to her skills
Our dream is to achieve that 120 adolescent women in 2024 reach 300 in 2026, hence the support of many donors who share the vision that not only a woman's life can be positively transformed, but also her family and social environment through access to higher education and promotion of an entrepreneurial mindset.
