Hi Friends!
When we enter a classroom, students get the opportunity to learn about and engage with native NC wildlife for up to an hour. But what happens after we leave? Title 1 schools funded through grants and GlobalGiving receive special goody bags that contain stickers, informational bookmarks, and pencils.
Classrooms also get to participate in our Adopt-An-Ambassador program. For three months after their program experience, students receive letters and pictures from one of our ambassadors. These letters contain updates on the ambassador themselves, as well as facts about the species and what activities their wild cousins may be up to here in North Carolina. The letters not only teach students more about a native species, but they also spur a more personal connection with nature.
Through the physical items and the Adopt-An-Ambassador program, we maintain a relationship with classrooms that we are able to visit from funding from donors like you. With your help, students in the Triangle are learning more about their backyard wildlife than they ever have before. Thank you for your continued support as we aim for even bigger goals in the 2023-2024 school year!
