Often children living in poverty are unable to attend school because they must help support their families. But thanks to your gift, children like Batthula can focus on their education.
Batthula and her mother have been on their own since her father passed away. They were struggling even for basic needs as her mother has health problems that prevent her from working. Together, Batthula and her mother started a small business to collect and sell milk, but even that was not enough to pay for both medical expenses and schooling needs.
Thanks to your generosity, Batthula has been able to attend one of our children's centers with all of her education needs taken care of! She has just completed her 7th year and looks forward to continuing her education. "I'm so thankful for those who are partnering with the center to help children like me!" she says.
