Jiyarel Is Catching Up Thanks To You!

By Steve Stirling | CEO

Jiyarel’s family moved to a new city in search of work and opportunity. His mother began working as a domestic helper and trash collector, while his father took up street sweeping. Both parents, having had little to no education themselves, dreamed of a brighter future for their son.

Because of you Jiyarel joined our slum schools. Before enrolling, Jiyarel had never attended school and spent his days playing with friends. But within just three years, he progressed from learning the alphabet to reaching an academic level equivalent to Class 5 or 6. His favorite subjects, Hindi and Math, have become a source of pride and joy for him.

With minimal fees and quality teaching, it has eased the financial burden on his parents while giving Jiyarel the tools to help them in ways they never imagined.

“In this school, I’ve also learned what it means to be good and help others,” Jiyarel shared. “Last Friday, I met someone crying on the road. I couldn’t solve his problem, but I could listen to him.” His parents are equally grateful. “This is a good school and a good place to study. I want my son to become something, maybe do business,” they said.

Jiyarel’s confidence has grown in leaps and bounds. Unlike other schools where he feared asking questions, he now feels encouraged to seek understanding.

This transformation would not have been possible without the support of donors. Your contributions have not only changed Jiyarel’s life but have also brought hope and opportunity to his family. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey.
