Bringing Hope and Opportunity To The Slums

By John Sparks | President

Through your generous gift, you are helping to bring hope and opportunity to children who otherwise would not have access to a good education. One such child is Laiba, a 14-year-old girl living in a slum in North India. Laiba's parents are ragpickers, making a meager living from collecting papers and waste items from garbage. With 4 children, the family lives in a tiny one-room hut. Despite her parents' best efforts, they could not afford the tuition or supplies needed for Laiba to attend a government school. As a result, she was forced to drop out after 5th grade. That all changed when her family heard about the school we opened through your gifts! Thanks to your support, Laiba was able to return to school in 7th grade, giving her the chance to break the cycle of poverty and build a better future for herself and her family.

Laiba's life has been tough, but with your donation, she's feeling excited about the future! She's grateful for the opportunity to continue her education and break free of the cycle her parents have been stuck in. The struggle has been for many basic necessities such as food, clean water, and essential clothing. But Laiba is determined to make a difference in her life, and she knows that education is the key to that change. Not only has she been studying hard at school, but she's also been perfecting her skills at our Tailoring School, where she's been learning an essential skill at a young age. Laiba is a hard worker with a strong desire to make a positive impact on her future.

Your support has given her hope and determination, and she's excited to see where her future takes her. Thank you for your generous donation! Please consider how your continued generosity can change the lives of other children like Laiba.
