Fourteen girls between the ages of 13 and 18 have been enrolled in high school. All are attending online because of the pandemic. Some have received tuition in Math, while others have been part of Hindi classes. Additional subjects covered include spelling, vocabulary, painting, dance, and embroidery.
Over the course of the last quarter, your donation has also helped provide 3296 meals for the girls, each one compliant to a new menu set by a nutritionist. The results showed, with five girls showing healthy weight gain.
Emotional development is also critical for these minors. To that end, each is enrolled in a value education program made up of five sessions which focus on the power of the tongue, personal responsibility, the importance of a daily schedule, being content, and of focusing on priorities. Covd-19 safety protocols have also been introduced.
What makes the commitment to maintaining such a disciplined structure and overcoming these continual challenges so worthwhile is to hear the chatter during embroidery or painting classes, the laughter that bubbles up at the End of Summer party, or the sense of safety voiced as the girls are tucked up beneath their new bedsheets in a freshly painted room.
