You are a vital part in the effort to bring justice for children in India that have no place else to turn.

Krishna’s father left the family when his mother was pregnant. As a single mother, illiterate and alone she often worked long hours and was not able to provide nurture and care for Krishna. This meant he often wandered the back alleys of the slum looking for something to eat.

Because Krishna had to live off the street and face the risks of verbal, physical and sexual abuse. He had little opportunity to go to school and was vulnerable to the evils of child labor and addictions.

When his mother heard about the India Partners’ children home she knew this would be the only opportunity for his success. Now he is enrolled in an English Medium school and working hard to make his mother proud. He also knows that it is people like you, that he has never met, that make it possible for him to attend school.

Recently he received some school supplies, he wrote a word of thanks, “I really want to thank you for the bounty of stationary given to me, the new shoes, sandals & especially for the snazzy bag! I am very grateful to you.”
