You Can Defeat Poverty - Educate A Child In India!

Thank you for helping children get an education in India! Your gift is transforming lives and helping a child overcome poverty by going to school. There are currently 241 children helped every month through this project.

Your gift enables them to go to school and thrive. Many of these children come from poor families or have been orphaned with no one to care for them. Your support is also ensuring that these children are receiving their most basic needs like food, clothing and shelter.

Praveen lost his mother at a very young age. He lived with his father but experienced a lot of abuse. Praveen’s father was an alcoholic, and he would beat Praveen every day. Praveen was too poor to afford an education, good food, clothing, or even a place to sleep. To feed himself, he had to tend to his relatives’ cattle and collect firewood from a nearby jungle. 

“I used to be sad at home,” said Praveen, who is now 10-years-old. “My life was very pathetic.” 

But because of you, Praveen and others like him now live in our children’s home, which gives them a place filled with love and care. And most importantly, he is getting an education!
