Celebrating Mariyamma's success

By John Sparks | President, India Partners

Thanks for providing Mariyamma with an education!
Thanks for providing Mariyamma with an education!

Dear Friend,

Thank you for helping children get an education! An education is a powerful tool for a child living in poverty. Your gift is transforming lives and equipping children with a chance to succeed. There are currently 364 children helped every month through this project. Your gift enables them to go to learn and thrive. Many of these children come from extremely poor families or are orphaned with no one to care for them.

Your support also ensures they receive their most basic needs like food, clothing and education. With your support to Help an orphan in India receive an Education, you give a child like Mariyamma a better future.

Mariyamma's is a success story of how a rejected child became a success story.

Mariyamma was born into a "Fisherman" caste. Her mother was gone before she remembers. She was being raised by her father and step-mother, but her step-mother did not like her so she wouldn't feed her. She went to live in our orphanage when she was seven years old.

She received food, clothing and an excellent education because people like you cared enough to support her.  Your support has allowed Mariyamma to thrive.

She recently completed her post-graduation studies, and now works as a lecturer in a junior college.

Mariyamma expresses her sincere thanks for the encouragement and support which allowed her to complete her education. Today she has a fulfilling job, and is able to live independently. She hopes that many children like her can have a bright future.

Your gift is providing a great education and giving other children like Mariyamma hope for a bright future. It's all because of your gift! Thank you so much for caring for children like Mariyamma. Your gifts to “Help an orphan in India receive an education” are changing lives. Take the opportunity today to help more children like Mariyamma.

Sincerely,

John Sparks
