Help 50 Afghan Children Suffering from Spinal TB

Summary

TB is one of the most common diseases in Afghanistan. It takes a minimum of three operations to treat a child with spinal tuberculosis. There are many children from humble backgrounds who cannot afford the operation and remain deprived of walking for life. With just $500, you can help these young kids for surgeries which can make them walk and again and enjoy their lives.

Challenge

TB is a very challenging issue in Afghanistan. On an average 50,000 people become prey to tuberculosis (TB) every year in Afghanistan. TB is a type of bacteria that settles in the lungs and can move through the blood to other parts of the body, such as the kidney, brain, or the spine. Children are particularly vulnerable to TB because they often have weaker immune systems and it is more difficult to diagnose the disease in children.

Solution

Unfortunately many children remain deprived of walking because of their inability to bear the expenses of treatment. It takes a minimum of three operations to treat a child with spinal tuberculosis. Our expert team of specialized consultants has been dealing with thousands of complex cases of spinal TB and also other cases such as joint reconstruction and spine malformations due to congenital disease.

Long-Term Impact

With your support, a child can come back to normal life. With just $500, you can enable a young chap to walk again. This will positively impact the life of a child, his/her family and community at large.
