Dear Patron,
Greetings from El Shaddai Charitable Trust. We bring to you our latest report on “Education can end exploitation of 1000 children”.
Child labour and education are intrinsically linked, with child labour negatively impacting a child's access to and benefit from education. Conversely, education is a crucial tool in combating child labour by empowering children, increasing awareness of their rights, and providing them with better opportunities
El Shaddai has focused efforts on educating the marginalized communities. For this purpose, El Shaddai started formal, non- formal and slum schooling so that every child is able to get the basic rights and transform their lives to a better one.
Every month a total of 973 underprivileged children receive education.
Amrita (name changed), a 7-year-old with curious eyes, lives with her parents and younger brother in Slum. Her illiterate father works as a daily wage labourer at a scrap shop. For years, she didn’t go to school and helped her father to collect scrap, but with the help of our Outreach worker, she was enrolled in the slum school. She was happy to join the slum school and made many friends. She is excited about attending school regularly.
She excelled in her studies and dreams of becoming a teacher. She is set to enrol in formal school this year.
Through your contributions, we have been able to extend our services to those children who were eagerly waiting for a helping hand. We will always abide by our mission, to reach out to these young minds so that they can fulfil their dreams and live normal, happy lives. We are more than grateful for your support!
EDUCATION IS THE MOVEMENT FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT.
With Gratitude,
Sincerely,
El Shaddai Family
