Dear donors and supporters, We are thrilled to share the progress of our project 'Help Build the Bakwa Health Center', which aimed at improving access to healthcare for the vulnerable population of Bakwa, Njikwa municipality, Northwest region of Cameroon. The project will provide a place where 816 children, 425 women, the elderly, and 1,500 rural residents will finally have access to basic healthcare. No more long, dangerous journeys for pregnant women. No more mothers relying on unsafe herbal remedies. No more preventable deaths. The health center will:
Provide life-saving antenatal care to pregnant women
Reduce maternal and infant mortality
Ensure children get the medical attention they need
Offer healthcare to the elderly and vulnerable populations
Thanks to your generous support, we have achieved significant progress in bringing healthcare closer to the Bakwa community. The installation of sanitary fittings in the toilets has been completed while the flooring is ongoing.
