The "Help Build the Bakwa Health Center" project continues to face significant security and financial challenges due to funding cuts and the activities of the non-state armed groups (NSAG) in the crisis-hit communities of the Northwest region of Cameroon. The project’s progress has been slower than expected. Limited financial resources have made it difficult to procure and transport essential materials. Insecurity concerns in the Northwest region, especially in rural areas and the project site, have further hampered the transportation of materials and construction efforts. Despite the challenges, we will continuously work with the Njikwa municipal council and the local community population to support ongoing efforts.
This health center is crucial for improving maternal and child health, reducing preventable deaths, and strengthening community resilience.
We remain dedicated to fulfilling our promise to the people of Bakwa and nearby communities. Your support—whether through monetary or material donations or sharing our project with others—can make a life-saving difference. Together, we can turn this vision into reality and bring healthcare closer to those who need it most.
