Our organization is fighting the lack of education for children at risk of poverty. We have created a unique School of Arts and Crafts where we educate gifted children from the most neglected and marginalized sections of society. The conditions in which children from marginalized groups grow up, in an institution or on the street, totally denies these children's chance to develop their natural qualities. After their 12th year they become a part of the statistics of illiteracy, drugs, prostitution, crime. These are children from different ethnic and social backgrounds, rejected by society. Our graduates will be the first grains of change.
The full capacity of the school is 230 children. Their curriculum includes the mandatory general subjects but also arts - theater, music, dance, painting and at least two foreign languages. By fifth grade they will also study the typical for Bulgaria crafts applicable in modern business. The methods and forms of work with our students will help them overcome the negatives and traumas of their former way of life and mentality.
We will educate hundreds of talented and gifted children from extremely poor families. They will receive the necessary self-esteem, confidence and motivation to remain in the country and find their fulfillment. This will result in the reduction of low educational, social, cultural and social marginalization and segregation in the country. To a large extent,it will reduce the flow of economic migrants to bigger and richer countries.
