Be a Hero

Healthy kids having fun at lunch
Healthy kids having fun at lunch

Kids are great!  They play, they sing, they learn new things each day from the care of parents, siblings and others around them.  That’s the way it was little Nhi age 4 months.  And that was the way it should be. But, what happens when the playing and singing turn to sounds of distress or whimpering from fever or the baby suddenly have difficulty with nursing, eating or the young girl can looses weight and cannot support her balance to stand....or other severe incidents.

Is there a clinic close to their home where they can get help?  The answer is yes, in towns or in cities in Vietnam that have modern health care.  Yet the children of rural Vietnam often do not have access to such health resources.

MEDRIX specializes in supporting new doctors, nurses and community leaders in learning how to easily detect a medical risk or health difficulty in an infant or child .  MEDRIX sponsors classes where professional and other community members learn how to triage the child and get the child treatment as soon as possible.

MEDRIX is dedicated to helping by providing classes in "IMCI"…Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses.  IMCI a symbol for “be a part of the solutions for these dear children”.  It is an integrated approach that focuses on the health and wellbeing of the child.  It is used particularly in rural areas of Vietnam and now at modern pediatric centers.

You too can be a part of the solution.  Sponsor a community leader or a medical provider to take this lifesaving 11-day course.  They will be so grateful for your help!  And you will feel great about being a part of the solution!  And, best of all your generosity will save many lives of children.  Be a hero!
