Dear Friends,
Thank you for supporting Ukraine’s largest children’s hospital, Okhmatdyt.
As members of the Restoration Council, we are glad to share that the reconstruction of the hospital is well underway: more than 2,270 m² of damaged facades have been dismantled, new ceilings, windows, and lighting installed, and vital engineering systems renewed.
While the hospital is being rebuilt, your support ensures children receive uninterrupted care, stepping in where state resources cannot. Thanks to you, the hospital receives critical medical supplies for intensive care and complex neurosurgical operations, while children and their families find comfort and strength at our Dacha Family House.
One of the patients you support is Viktoria, pictured here: a cheerful girl who loves animals, photography, and hiking. For now, she has had to set aside her passions because of her illness: Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
For years, her condition was masked by other symptoms, and treatments brought no results. After COVID in 2020, her health declined, and by 2024 she finally received the devastating diagnosis. The tumor grew rapidly, reaching 25 centimeters.
Today, Viktoria is in treatment at Okhmatdyt. She has completed four cycles of chemotherapy and is now preparing for a bone marrow transplant. Despite pain and uncertainty, she continues to dream big: of skydiving, flying in a hot-air balloon, and one day sailing around the world.
With your generosity, children like Viktoria can keep loving life. Together, we can help even more children find the strength to heal and the courage to dream.
