In Diyala Governorate, dozens of orphaned children live in tragic conditions, without a home to shelter them and provide them with dignified care.

These children need more than just shelter; they need a safe and supportive environment that fosters their development through education and psychosocial support.

The absence of a well-equipped, official orphanage in Diyala exposes these children to neglect and creates a serious gap in the social safety net.

We appeal to donors and funding agencies to provide us with financial and in-kind assistance to complete the construction of a home for them. We also urge humanitarian and international organizations to intervene urgently to establish a comprehensive orphanage in Diyala that meets the basic needs of these children and provides them with a more secure future.

Our organization has contributed to supporting 50 children by providing them with clothing and food, and enabling them to return to school. Your support will bring joy to their hearts.

Our ongoing mission is to rescue and rehabilitate orphaned, abandoned, and street children by providing them with holistic care. This includes access to quality education, nutritious meals, safe shelter, healthcare, and opportunities for recreation and skill development. What began in 2020 with just five children has now blossomed into a nurturing home for 50 children from various underprivileged and marginalized backgrounds—children who were once at risk of child labor, neglect, and exploitation.

Through proactive outreach in rural and urban slum areas, we identify these at-risk children and welcome them into our Children's Home. Currently, children aged between 5 and 17 years are enrolled in reputable schools and colleges such

At SERUDS Children’s Home, we prioritize their all-round development. Every day, the children receive educational support, three balanced meals including rice, lentils, vegetable curries, seasonal fruits, sweets, and buttermilk, as well as access to indoor and outdoor play. We also provide medical care and vocational training to help them build practical skills for the future.

It is incredibly heartwarming to witness their transformation—the joy on their faces, the friendships they form, their enthusiasm in studies, sports, and new experiences. These children are steadily moving beyond the painful memories of their past, thanks to the care and opportunities they now receive.
