Neymar is almost 3 years old, he has Down Syndrome. He receives health attention in Phonoaudiology, Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Musical Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
From the area of Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy, we worked with the objective of improving his motor activities, strengthening the musculature of the trunk and lower limbs. Neymar achieved both static and dynamic equilibrium, making short shifts in the water.
In Phonoaudiology, Neymar is characterized by being an explorer, awake and active during the sessions. Significant progress has been made in the permanence, in the relations with its peers, in the use of objects according to their functionality. He should continue to strengthen the stimulation for the production of sounds to communicate.
In Music Therapy, he is interested in the activities where music is involved which reassures him. He moves the body according to the speed of interpretation, performs visual tracking and identifies sound objects. Moreover, he increases attention and concentration when interpreting texts with rhythmic content, which invite movement and identify parts of the body, improving balance and psychomotor control. He grasps, shakes, throws and picks instruments of its liking like maracas, bells, rattles, keys or toys.
From Occupational Therapy, he moves and rotates on his axis to take objects and to interact with other children.
On behalf of Neymar, we want to thank you all for your donations.
If you want to continue helping his rehabilitation process, and to give more happiness to children with Down Syndrome, please consider becoming a recurring donor.
With gratitute,
