Thank you for all your generous contributions for the skill development training programs for destitute women and girls through GlobalGiving Nonprofit Organization. As part of our regular initiatives under women empowerment program we regularly goes to the villages, urban slums of Kurnool District to know the day to day resources for the poorer communities. We do conduct baseline survey in the villages and identify the women, girls to provide fashion designing courses, skill development training programs in other trades.
Many of the poor family women and girls in Praja Nagar, Rajiv Gruhakalpa-Peddapadu, Mandlem villages are approached us to provide skill development trainings in Fashion Designing courses to get sustainable income with this skills. By seeing necessity of the training program our charity has been conducting regularly 6Months training course in Sewing Skills for the 30 destitute women. In a year we are conducting about 6 batches of 6 months training program each. Tailoring Trainers have been teaching skills to these women and adolescent girls aged between 16years to 35years. After this training program we are providing completion certificate, which is useful for their future to avail the loans from banks and other financial institutions. In this training program we provide raw material, scales, 5 sewing machines for learning of the training, required stationary to prepare the album of skills, which they learnt.
With this training program, Some of the women have been established self employment units and some of them are working in garment establishments. With this vocations they are able to earn Rs.5000 income for their family needs and children education. We are continuously providing escort services to these women to avail loans or seed funding from financial institutions to start small micro enterprises.
