Help Women by Providing Tailoring Training

We deeply appreciate the opportunity you have provided us to serve destitute widows and adolescent girls through skill development training in fashion designing. Your generous support is instrumental in enabling us to offer this valuable training, which plays a crucial role in empowering women and girls. For economically disadvantaged women, these skill development programs are not just educational opportunities but essential for their livelihood.

Our primary focus has been on creating sustainable livelihood programs for women and girls, aimed at building their confidence and self-reliance. Since the establishment of our self-employment training unit in 2005, we have consistently conducted programs that have significantly impacted the lives of many women and their families. Many of the women and girls who have participated in our training have gone on to start their own micro-enterprises in areas such as tailoring, embroidery, and stitching, including making various types of blouses, zari work on sarees, and school uniforms. Some have been able to earn approximately Rs. 5000 per month as supplementary income.

This additional income has been invaluable, helping these women support their children's education, purchase groceries for their families, and meet other essential needs. Our six-month fashion designing courses, which we conduct in Mandlem Village and Praja Nagar, provide comprehensive training including classes, raw materials like threads, needles, fabrics, and scissors. At the end of each course, participants receive a completion certificate and undergo orientation on marketing skills. This certification has enabled many of our graduates to secure loans from financial institutions and banks to further their ventures.
