Greetings from SERUDS
In Harijanawada, Budhavarapeta urban slum economically deprived women are lacking with skills and unskilled labour struggling with out income sources. They are not able to get jobs because of illiterate & unskilled. SERUDS has identified such women and continuously supporting these deprived women by providing skills training in fashion designing, tailoring & embroidery work for 10 such deprived women in a batch for 3months. The women and adolescent girls have been identified by our volunteers and staff from slums of Kurnool Town. The trainer monitors the practices of cutting, measurements and sizes learnt by the women and girls.
With this skills training the women and girls got confidence and able to earn themselves by stitching inner wear, uniforms, designing on the sarees, petty coats, skirts, panjabi dresses, blouses related to women products. The neighbors & others, who have given the orders to these trainees also satisfying for timely delivery.
With this skills training in fashion designing the women are able to send their children to the school regularly and feeding their families. The women are able to provide educational material to the children in time. We are able to see happiness on women faces and their indirect families.
