Greetings from SERUDS
Thank you for your kind sponsorship to create sustainable livelihoods for the economically disadvantaged women and adolescent girls through skills trianing programs.
Most of the women and adolescent girls in TV9 Nagar, B.Thandrapadu Village, Kurnool Mandal & District are going to very far places along with their children to work in hazardous jobs. The beneficiaries age group is 16years to 35years. Due to poverty they are helpless and migrating some other locations like districts and states. As per our discussions with the target women, they have very interest in skills training fashion desining, sewing skills, zari work etc. By considering their aspiration SERUDS started 6 months skills training for them from July 2015 to December 2015 in their location to create sustainable livelihoods.
The Women and Girls are actively learning Fashion Designing Skills through SERUDS Vocational Skills center. In this center 25 women and girls are learning cutting, stiching, designing skills, etc. They are able to stitch blouses, falls to the sarees, petty coats, uniforms, Shirting, Pants, Chudidhars, punjabi dresses, and earning Rs.200 per day as supplimentary income. Getting orders from other shops and neighbours and delivering the goods intime. The inmates of the training center are very happy for getting this unique skills training for their lives. They women are sending their children to the convent schools with the earned income. The women and girls are expressed sincere thanks to GlobalGiving Donorsand SERUDS Charity for conducting this type of life skills programs.
