Since 2009, We have been conducting the Vocational Skills Training Programs for the economically disadvantaged women to empower them for the livelihood opportunities. As part of our regular activities in Rural areas we coordinate with the destitute women and poor adolescent girls for the conducting of fashion designing courses for their livelihoods. Many rural poor women are approaching us for the skills training in their locations. As per their desire we have been conducting fashion designing courses for them in Venkayapalle Village, Praja Nagar of Kurnool Mandal and Mandlem of Nandikotkur Mandal in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh.
25 women and girls are learning from each fashion designing center totalling 75 trainees for the 6months course. With this skillful training they are able to earn income by taking the orders from the near by locations. The women are stitching blouses, petty coats, school uniforms, falls on sareers, embroidery work on cotton sareers, children wear, frocks, etc. By doing this job they are able to earn Rs.4000/- p.m, which helps for their children education and adds to the supplementary needs of the family income. The impact is good among their families. Women and girls are expressed towards this kind gesture. With your help they are able to survive and getting employment opportunities and living with dignity without depending on others.
