Thank you for all your kind contributions for the deprived women and adolescent girls skills training in fashion designing through esteemed organization GlobalGiving Foundation.
Since 2008, we have been identifying the Destitute women and adolescent girl children in the remote rural areas and providing skills training in tailoring & embroidery, maggam work, zari work at their villages and urban slums in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh. The age group of the women and girls are 16 years to 35 years. As part of our regular programs and ongoing initiatives we approach the community elders and Podupu Lakshmi Group Leaders to identify the poor and destitute women to provide skills training in various trades and since then have been conducting skills development trainings to the women and girls.
In Prajanagar, Thandrapadu Post, Kurnool Mandal & District many of the women and girls are idle with out any vocation and approached us to provide skills training in fashion designing. We have conducting 6months vocational skills training in fashion designing with trainers and experts to such women and girls. The women are learning enthusiastic and some of the women earning by stitching the blouses, inner wear, school uniforms, saree falling, etc by taking orders from the custermors and Rs.4000/- earning per month this income is adding to their family as supplymentary income. With this income the children are are getting timely education support from the family and going to school regularly and the impact is very good with this vocational skills training.
