Youth Empowerment Through Skills and Opportunity Creation
Development Alert remains committed to empowering young people by providing them with practical skills and opportunities for self-reliance. During this reporting period, youth have participated in training programs focused on vocational skills, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. These initiatives are helping young people transition from unemployment to productive engagement.
Beneficiaries have gained the confidence and knowledge needed to start small businesses, secure employment, and support their families. Some participants have already established income-generating activities such as tailoring, retail, and farming. This has not only improved their livelihoods but also contributed to local economic growth.
The program has also fostered a sense of purpose and hope among young people, reducing vulnerability to negative influences. However, many youth still lack access to such opportunities. Continued donor support will allow Development Alert to expand its skills development programs and empower more young people to build sustainable futures.
